Mamoplasty Breast Reduction: Reduce and change the shape of your breasts
Mamoplasty or Breast Reduction allows us to reduce and reshape the breasts.
Patients who undergo breast reduction often seek relief from discomfort due to the excessive weight of their bust. Breast reduction usually resolves these manifestations, by improving the size and shape of the breasts. The procedure provides a bust proportional to the body, therefore, helping you find your perfect dress size.
The surgery can reduce the size of the breast, making them look smaller and firmer. Furthermore, without the excessive weight of large breasts, you can enjoy sports and other physical activities.
Breast reduction is usually performed to relieve a physical discomfort, rather than purely aesthetic reasons.
Amar Clinic will assist you in preparing for your surgery and follow-up.

Breast reduction surgery is performed in an operating room, within a clinic or hospital. The procedure generally requires hospitalization, for roughly 2 or 3 days.
The surgery is performed under general anesthesia, the patient remained asleep during the operation.
A breast reduction lasts between 2 and 4 hours, although in certain cases the stay may be lengthened. Various techniques exist, but generally the incisions are anchor-shaped made around the areola, in a vertical line down from the areola and in a horizontal line in the groove beneath the breast. Through these incisions the excess skin, fat and breast tissue are removed, and the areola and nipple in it new position is relocated; liposuction can also be associated to the process.
In most cases, the areola remains attached to its blood vessels and nerves, maintaining normal or near normal sensation; however, in cases of large reductions, it may be necessary to completely separate the areola and place it in its new position.
After breast surgery is normal to feel a little tired some days, but it can let you enjoy normal within 24-48 hours. Most discomfort is well controlled with medication prescribed by your plastic surgeon, although the breasts can hurt a couple of weeks; The bandage or dressing will be removed in a few days, being replaced by a special bra, to keep your breasts in the manner prescribed by your surgeon.
The stitches are removed between the first and second week.
